Malabar residents, Joseph and Katie, started renovations of their 4 bedroom house. A part of the changes was throwing away unwanted furniture that would no longer suit the new interiors. They called V-Move to arrange a furniture pick up and thoughtful disposal. 2 men and a truck came out to their Malabar home and loaded up the old bed frame and mattress, a dresser, a wardrobe, a table-tennis table and several cardboard boxes of bedding and other materials.
Our team took the furniture and boxes to the recycling depot and offloaded what they could there. Then, they took the dresser and wardrobe to a charity drop off. In the end, there was only a small amount that was waste.
V-Move believes moving should not be such a wasteful ordeal. For this reason we offer plastic moving crates for hire. The environmentally friendly plastic boxes are sturdy and don’t rely on wasteful packing material, but most importantly, they can be reused. Between every job we clean and sterilise the moving crates so that you only use the best quality container each time.
Our plastic moving crate packages are tailored to suit the size of your home or office. From studio to 5 bedroom packages, we will send out the boxes to your door for free as covered by the cost of the hire. When you are finished using the boxes, we will also pick them up free of charge.
Most customers only need the boxes for the first week, but some pay the lower weekly rate for any time after that. Maybe an office move takes 3 weeks to finalise. We make it a cost-effective way to keep your belongings safe and secure until you’re ready to have the boxes picked up.
V-Move also sells cardboard boxes and packing material for anything you need to put into storage. We will send out smaller vans to take the boxes to our secure storage facilities. They are monitored and open 24 hours a day. If you need storage solutions before or after your move, call V-Move and find out just how easy it is with us.

TURNING YOUR House Into A Home
Malabar Movers
Malabar is 12 kilometres south east of the Sydney city centre. It borders Maroubra to the north and Little Bay to the south. It has a small, protected beach with a small surf called Long Bay beach. This beach is thought to be the traditional healing place of the local Indigenous peoples.
Malabar was named after a ship that sank just off the coast of the northern headland. The name Malabar comes from a Kerala region in India famous for spice trade. Situated between Botany Bay and the entrance to Sydney Harbour, Malabar has seen a lot of history. Battlements dot the cliffs of Malabar National Park.
Known for its water treatment plant and correctional facility, Malabar is often unfairly only associated with them. In fact, Malabar is an old fashioned seaside village that hasn’t seen too much over development. The majority of homes are houses with front and back gardens, very suitable for families.
While Malabar seems off the beaten track, it’s actually very well connected to the rest of the eastern suburbs. Maroubra Junction offers most of the shopping, and further afield is Eastgardens Westfield. Buses run frequently along Anzac Parade. There are schools and places of worship, cafes, restaurants and an RSL all 5 minutes away.
One of the best things about Malabar is its proximity to national parks and outdoor recreation activities, from bushwalking to golf, swimming to rifle ranges.
