Our Happy Customers
From Rushcutters Bay
Jake and Yuri have lived in Rushcutters Bay for several years and recently bought a new bed frame, mattress and bedside dressers. They called V-Move to remove their old furniture and to pick up their new set directly from the wholesalers.
Two men and a truck came out to their apartment and carried the furniture down the stairs of the three storey converted townhouse. They loaded up the truck and transported the unwanted furniture to a charity drop off and the recycling depot for the mattress. After this, the team picked up and delivered the new pieces of furniture to Jake and Yuri’s bedroom.
Veronica had lived in her Rushcutters Bay studio apartment for a year before getting remote work for her company. She decided to sublet her apartment during the six months out of state. To make room for the new tenant, she bought cardboard boxes from V-Move and had a man and a van pick up her belongings to take to storage.
For $300, our man took her boxes out to our storage facility in Kingsgrove, where she hired a small space for the six months. With 24 hour surveillance and access, our storage facility is the perfect choice for your short of long term storage needs. When Veronica returned to her apartment, the boxes were returned to her without fuss.

RUSHCUTTERS BAY
Is The Place To Be
Rushcutters Bay is a quick 10 minute walk from Kings Cross Train Station and only 3 kilometres from the Sydney city centre. Rushcutters Bay is surrounded by Potts Point, Elizabeth Bay, Darling Point, Darlinghurst and Paddington. It is one of more densely populated areas of Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
Rushcutters Bay is known for tall tree-lined streets with a canopy filled with birds sitting underneath the windows of the many apartment blocks in the area. Old, converted mansions and townhouses sit side by side 70s brick and art deco apartment buildings.
Many young professionals, singles and couples, live in Rushcutters Bay as it is close to the Kings Cross and Darlinghurst nightlife areas, as well as the Surry Hills and CBD commercial areas. Rushcutters Bay Park, including the Reg Bartley Oval, is a very popular social meeting point, with two cafes, tennis and cricket facilities, and beautiful harbourside views. Many residents near and far come to have picnics and strolls around the harbour.
The name of ‘Rushcutters’ comes from what the British used to call the area, ‘Rush Cutting Bay’. Early settlers cut down tall rushes that were found in the swampy bay to use for thatching their houses. In the late 19th century, the swamp was reclaimed and the land was set aside for recreation, and thus the park was created.
Today, Rushcutters Bay is a sought after location to work and play. It is close to everything, but feels like it’s a part of the forest that would have covered the cove centuries ago.
