Moving house can be a daunting task. At V-Move our goal is to make your move day as simple and stress free as possible. With a wide variety of options, including our full service package, V-Move has the expertise and years of experience to get the job done.
Jonathan and Marie sold their Point Piper home and were looking to downsize. Their four bedroom house would become a two bedroom townhouse in Darlinghurst. Both were too busy to organise the pack up themselves, so they called V-Move for our full service package.
We recommend hiring plastic moving crates so we minimise waste. These environmentally friendly crates are sturdy and can be reused over and over again. Between jobs we clean and sterilise them, so you only get the best quality product. For a four bedroom house we send out 80 boxes for $249 for the first week and $80 for any extra week thereafter. We let you unpack at your own pace if you don’t want our team to do it for you. When you’re finished, we will collect them free of charge.
Jonathan and Marie packed what they could before moving day and when our team of 4 men and two trucks came, they did the rest. Bulky items, like bed frames and mattresses are no problem for our expert packers. Stairs do not worry them either. All your fragile items will be handled with the utmost care. Pianos, antique furniture, and paintings will be cushioned correctly and you won’t find a scratch.
The initial quote was for 6 hours so the couple had a concrete idea of the cost. We don’t spring hidden fees at the end of the job.
Jonathan and Marie helped us separate the furniture they wanted removed, too. At the end of the move, we transported all the unwanted pieces to several locations. Some went to an auction house, some to a charity, and the rest were taken to a recycling depot. The couple were so satisfied with the job that they gave our team a case of beer each. The move and additional deliveries came to around 7 hours and the total cost was $2000.

It’s no secret that Point Piper is the wealthiest suburb in Sydney and one of the wealthiest in all Australia. With its three-sided views of Sydney Harbour, nearly all of Point Piper’s residents enjoy a water view.
The suburb is located 4 kilometres east of the Sydney CBD and sits between Double Bay and Rose Bay. These two neighbouring villages provide the closest shopping for Point Piper residents. The 324 and 325 buses take you down New South Head Road, but there are no buses that take you up the headland.
There are a number of parks and secluded beaches dotted around the headland, as well as a yacht club. However, there are no commercial businesses in the suburb. There are many heritage listed houses in the area and different styles of architecture are on full display. At $38,000 per square metre, Wolseley Road in Point Piper is thought to be the 9th most expensive residential street in the world.
