STRESS FREE OFFICE REMOVALS
In Barangaroo, New South Wales
You may have found us by typing “office removalists Sydney” into the search bar, and indeed we are office movers. But V-Move deal with all types of furniture removal. Whether an office move or packing away your household items, our services have you covered.
For our standard moves, we charge an hourly rate and a call out fee. For bigger moves – for offices and houses with four or more bedrooms – we can arrange a free fixed price quote inspection. One of the project managers will come out to your home or workplace and thoroughly inspect the premises to determine the size of truck and length of time the move will take.
Malcolm called on V-Move Removals to move his company’s headquarters from Pitt Street into a new office space in Barangaroo. The 12-person company had boardroom, kitchen and open-plan office furniture to move, as well as two photocopiers. On inspection it was decided that four men and two trucks would be needed for the job.
Most of the packing was done by the staff themselves, but Malcolm had organised the delivery of forty plastic boxes ahead of the move. The free delivery and pick up made storing and cataloguing the office supplies easy.
On the day of the move, Malcolm booked a morning and mid-morning time slot for the lifts at both buildings so that our movers had priority access. This meant that little time was wasted waiting for the lifts to take other workers to their respective levels.
Parking was arranged in loading zones at either end of the move. It is important that we know the clearance height of loading docks before we assign certain trucks for the job.
After starting at seven in the morning, the team of four movers got the job finished by two in the afternoon. The new office was left with furniture in place and boxes left to unpack. Overall, Malcolm was very happy with the efficiency and care our team took to relocate the company.

LIVING AND WORKING
In The Brand-New Barangaroo
‘Barangaroo’ was the name of the second wife of famous Aboriginal leader Bennelong, who was alive during the arrival of the First Fleet. She was a leader of the Cammeraygal people who lived on the lower north shore of what is now known as Sydney Harbour.
Barangaroo is now the name of the northern end of Darling Harbour, alongside Millers Point and next to the Walsh Bay piers. It is westerly-facing and sits opposite Pyrmont and Balmain across the water.
The area was a disused shipping and stevedoring dockland before development began. While still incomplete, Barangaroo has opened most of its land to the public. With state-of-the-art office towers and a new manmade reserve on the headland covering an open, cavernous gallery space underneath, Barangaroo is the result of cutting-edge architectural competition.
Soon, the Wulugul Walk will connect Darling Harbour to Woolloomooloo via Circular Quay, so Sydneysiders and tourists alike can take in multidimensional views of the harbour. The Walk will pass by the dining and shopping hub of Barangaroo, through the historical Rocks area, and through the Botanical Gardens and Gallery of New South Wales.
Only around 200 people call Barangaroo home, living in new apartments that take in stunning views of the city. It is only a five minute walk to Wynyard station, connecting the area to Town Hall and Central, and soon the new Sydney Metro will have its own Barangaroo stop. Businesses are already relocating to the area to take advantage of its central and connected location.
